There are many ways to meditate. The way we teach beginning meditation here at KPC is to sit quietly with the spine straight and to focus one’s attention on the breath. The breath is a point of return. When you find yourself distracted by internal or external things, gently bring your attention back to the breath. Be patient with yourself, and don’t judge your practice. In order to reap the benefits of meditation, you have to practice everyday, even for three minutes. There are lots of ways to meditate. Choose one, persevere, and you will accomplish.

KPC Maryland offers weekly meditation classes on Saturdays and Sundays at 10:00 a.m. (currently remote) that are free to the public, though offerings are always welcomed.
The KPC temple located on River Road in Poolesville, MD, is currently closed due to COVID-19. You can attend these classes from our live Youtube channel .

Guided Meditation with instruction led by one of KPC’s ordained.
Based on the book “Stabilizing the Mind”, KPC’s meditation classes include instructions that are suitable for both beginners and more advanced practitioners alike, and end with a closing prayer that is dedicated to the end of suffering for all beings. Cushions and chairs are available onsite. Donations are accepted but not required.
