About Khenpo Tenzin Norgay
Khenpo Tenzin Norgay was born in Bhutan. He studied under many great masters at Ngagyur Nyingma Institute at Namdroling Monastery in Mysore, India, and completed the Shedra (University) program. Because of his knowledge, experience and fluent command of the English language, His Holiness Penor Rinpoche asked him to teach students in the United States. He currently heads the Nyingma Palyul Dharma Center (NPDC) in New York, and teaches annually at the Palyul Retreat in upstate NY.
About Riwo Sang Chöd
Riwo Sang Chod literally means “Mountain Smoke Offering” and is one of the most powerful practices for cleansing the environment, increasing health and prosperity, and stimulating world peace and harmony.
Performed outdoors at the Stupa, the smoke offerings are transformed into inexhaustible amrita (medicine), that are visualized to emanate throughout space like massive clouds with vast desirable qualities that heal and benefit all beings. By purifying outer and inner elements we create auspicious circumstances to accumulate merit and wisdom, now and for the year ahead.
