The Totem Pole is Here!
KPC welcomes a new, colorful totem pole created under the guidance and vision of Jetsunma Ahkon Lhamo. If you haven’t yet seen it, it stands at 13 feet tall and is located just outside the animal yards. We warmly invite you to come visit it!
The totem pole is stacked — first pigs, then a turkey, veggies, watermelon, chickens, a viking dragon, and then the Viking gods Odin and Thor, surrounded by
a flower halo. Two geese “swim” around the base with blue stones. Plants will soon surround the area as well.
Jetsunma envisioned it as a strong symbol of our place, with the animals and the plants, and the land all in harmony. Jetsunma says Odin and Thor are there because they represent the old ways. Before we began destroying the earth
This Sunday at 4pm, on the auspicious day of Saga Dawa, there will be a short dedication ceremony with prayers that will start right before the drum circle
commences around the totem pole.
All are welcome to join this special occasion!
